2012 Chardonnay Hautes Cotes de Nuits Burgundy Single vineyard 'Lieu Dieu'
Lieu Dieu’ vineyard lies above the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, north of Beaune in Burgundy or Bourgogne. ‘Lieu Dieu’ means God’s Place and this chardonnay is of that quality. It is an ancient vineyard of old vines which produces some of the best chardonnay of the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Philip’s Frolic went looking for Bourgogne Rouge and found this chardonnay irresistible and so we had to bring it to you as Philip’s Frolic Bourgogne Chardonnay
Tasting notes: delightful rumour of peaches, light long palate, minimal oak, no histamines and totally satisfying, a truly wonderful chardonnay from a great vineyard.
